NAGFORM is a knowledge-based program for designing sequences for cold-formed parts. It gives alternative forming sequences to manufacture a part within a few minutes. It is a rule-based program but also uses simple analyses to determine the feasibility of forming processes. It can be used to create reusable sequence design templates. It also has a tooling design module that is being linked to the forming sequence. It has a smart database to store design and manufacturing knowledge.
Time savings – The engineers generally calculate the entire forming sequence, estimate the volumes, and then create the entire progression in SOLIDWORKS®. Using NAGFORM, the program automatically creates the entire sequence in NAGFORM and all of the sequence drawings in SOLIDWORKS
Error-Free – While manually calculating the sequence, the user can make some calculation mistakes or ignore some of the forming rules, resulting in defective parts. Using the NAGFORM-SOLIDWORKS interface, the sequence follows the rules, resulting in very accurate drawings in SOLIDWORKS

Critical data – Once the part/sequence is created in SOLIDWORKS, the user can then easily obtain critical information such as weight, volume, and surface area
