With SwGain it provides the first application for PDM/ERP; others will follow.SwGain is the SOLIDWORKS Interface for GAIN. GAIN is a well-known EDM/PDM system in Germany developed by GAIN Software GmbH, Bielefeld.SwGain controls the communication between a SOLIDWORKS session and a GAIN session. It permits the bringing in and managing of the three main document types of SOLIDWORKS - part, assembly, and drawing.The administration and structuring of the actual data in GAIN are freely definable. SwGain allows bi-directional exchange of describing attributes between GAIN and the appropriate SOLIDWORKS documents. It supports the bill of materials and "where used report" in GAIN. The functionality of the interface is in a wide-range, user-defined configuration.
