What is SOLIDWORKS SkillForce Program?

Student Interns accepted into the Program will have FREE access to industry-level CAD tools for the duration of their work-based learning experiences, allowing them to apply their verified skills directly in professional environments.

SOLIDWORKS® SkillForce Program aims to provide, for FREE, 3DEXPERIENCE® SOLIDWORKS Premium or SOLIDWORKS Premium with Cloud Services licenses to student interns who have earned their SOLIDWORKS CAD Design Associate (CSWA) certification and are participating in a 3 or 6-month internship or co-op program.

The SOLIDWORKS SkillForce Program is designed for students currently enrolled in an undergraduate or higher-level program at a recognized college, technical institute or university, and have secured an internship offer with an employer. 

Am I eligible for the program?

To be eligible for the SOLIDWORKS SkillForce Program, you must meet the following acceptance criteria:

  • You must be a student, 18 years of age or above, currently enrolled in an undergraduate or higher-level program at a recognized college, technical institute or university.
  • You must have a confirmed internship offer from an employer. Please note that we will verify your internship credentials with your employer during the application review process.
  • You must hold a SOLIDWORKS CAD Design Certification (CSWA or CSWP). If you have not obtained a certification, please refer to the following section for further guidance.

What if I don’t have a SOLIDWORKS CAD Design Certification yet?

Don’t Worry. We’ve got you covered! Please proceed to submit the application form. In the section that asks if you already have a CAD Design certification, please indicate 'NO’.

Once you submit the form, our team will send you a single-use voucher towards a FREE SOLIDWORKS CAD Design Associate (CSWA) Exam. Reapply to the SOLIDWORKS SkillForce Program once you have your certification.

What happens after I submit my application to the SOLIDWORKS SkillForce Program?

Once you hit the Submit button, your application will go through the following steps:

  1. SOLIDWORKS will review your application. If you need a SOLIDWORKS certification, we will send you a single-use voucher and resources to help you take the SOLIDWORKS CAD Design Associate (CSWA) Exam.
  2. If you have a CSWA/CSWP certification, we will write to your Employer Contact to obtain confirmation of your internship. Please ensure you have communicated with your Employer Contact prior to applying for the SOLIDWORKS SkillForce Program.
  3. As soon as we get your Employer confirmation, we’ll put you in touch with a SOLIDWORKS Reseller Partner to get you started with 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS Premium license or SOLIDWORKS Premium with Cloud Services. The license will be valid for the full duration of your internship.

How Long Will the Application Process Take?

The entire process, from submitting your application to receiving the software, should be completed within 2 to 3 weeks. However, the exact duration may vary depending on the responsiveness of the parties involved.
