DESCRIPTION: The Strategic Accounts Manager is responsible for developing and establishing large account relationships with strategic prospects and customers of SolidWorks in the assigned Area. The Strategic Accounts Manager holds primary responsibility for direct sales to large accounts and their suppliers. It is the S.A.M.’s responsibility to insure that customers receive the benefits of a SolidWorks solution to their multi divisional, multi-seat networked CAD needs. Working in conjunction with VARs, Solution Partners, and OEM’s, the S.A.M. is also responsible for ensuring the integration of the SolidWorks solution and addressing the customer’s design automation requirements over multiple locations.

Initiate sales activities at large accounts to stimulate, encourage, establish and develop major account relationships for SolidWorks.

Provide territory management data: forecasts, account management documentation, and activity reports to SolidWorks management providing basis for strategic account planning.

Identify, evaluate and respond to key business issues of the account and develop, present and demonstrate SolidWorks capabilities to the potential customer.

Introduce and integrate SolidWorks technical resources, VAR personnel and Solution Partners to the customer to demonstrate capability, educate customer personnel and facilitate project management.

Communicate effectively with VAR’s in implementing SolidWorks large account sales strategies appropriately integrating VAR resources in the sales process and implementation plan.

Develop, deliver and lead implementation of professional technology proposals supporting multiple sites.

Analyze potential problems and address customer issues.

Provide and coordinate post-sales support.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 5 to 8 years’ MCAD industry experience.
EDUCATION: BS Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
REQUIREMENTS:

Consistent track record of successful sales shown by over goal performance of selling software technical solutions into Fortune 1000 environments.

Strong knowledge of the MCAD/MCAE industry is very highly desired.

Must have demonstrable professional sales skills and references.

Experience selling products competitive to SolidWorks is a big plus.

Ability to function in a team atmosphere, appreciate aggressive goals, and have superior, communication skills, organizational/time management skills, and a make-it-happen attitude.
