DESCRIPTION: The QA Engineer filling this role will work as part of the team responsible for guaranteeing customer satisfaction of Dassault Systèmes SOLIDWORKS Corporation’s current and future product offerings by providing quality assurance testing that ensures requirements in functionality, usability, performance, workflow, and robustness are met. This individual will work closely with product design and the application development team to help quickly identify and resolve issues, while actively participating in improving QA process of an existing QA organization. This position will be responsible for reviewing specifications, creating test designs, running/reviewing automated tests, performing interactive testing that emulates customer workflows, and reporting/verifying problems.
EDUCATION: B.S. degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics. Higher levels of academic achievement strongly preferred. Foreign language fluency desired.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 5 years of technical experience in mechanical design or 3 years of testing mechanical design or analysis software.Experience with CAD software such as CATIA, SOLIDWORKS, Pro\Engineer, SolidEdge, or Inventor
• Strong understanding of geometry and parametric solids modeling
• Must be passionate about quality and detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis
• Must be a self-starter who works equally well independently and in a team environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills necessary
• Experience with C++, software test automation tools, visual studio, or mathematical solvers a plus.
