DFXBOT Private Limited in Navi Mumbai patented the Smart Live Inventory Management (SLIM) product that integrates Internet of Things (IoT) sensors with storage devices—such as pallets, bins, or crates—to enable real-time 24/7 access to inventory data. When these sensor-enabled pallets, bins, or crates communicate their data to a centralized system, they effectively become IoT-enabled storage devices.

Finding the Right Tools

The company’s designers and engineers used Autodesk Fusion 360® software for product development from the company’s founding in 2020 until early 2023. However, they encountered difficulties when working with large or complex designs and associated bills of material. DFXBOT also needed simulation and product data management tools and an integrated solution to help accelerate design cycles, reduce prototyping, and improve quality. Speeding Development and Reducing Costs

DFXBOT can also speed development because its in-house FEA experts can conduct finite element analysis on product designs to validate design performance, minimize expensive rounds of physical prototyping, and optimize designs to improve quality.
