If for any reason you get disconnected, the platform will preserve your session for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, you will be given a new instance and any unsaved work will be lost.

This error is related to the installation of prerequisite VC++ components. To troubleshoot the issue, try reinstallation of VC++ components manually:

1.  Go to Start > User Account > User Account Control Settings. Set it to “Never Notify”. Restart the system
2.  Login as administrator
3.  Uninstall VC++ redistributable components (2008 and 2010 and 2012, 2013, 2015) from Programs and Features
4.  Restart the computer
5.  Login as administrator
6.  Reinstall: VC++ 2008 and 2010 and 2012, 2013, 2015
   1. a. downloaded files\prereqs\VCRedist9\vcredist_x86.exe and vcredist_x64.exe
   2. b. downloaded files\prereqs\VCRedist10\vcredist_x86.exe and vcredist_x64.exe

Yes, SOLIDWORKS Subscription Services includes full access to SOLIDWORKS Cloud Services, which connect your 3D CAD data from SOLIDWORKS to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. 

This gives users tools for:

• Share & Markup — share 3D designs by link and collect feedback
• Store & Revise — cloud storage, revision control, design locking, and markup tools
• Manage & Control — data management, change actions, approvals, and project/task control
   

Cloud Services is included with new SOLIDWORKS Design licenses as part of your subscription.

• Single-user licenses include an immediate connection to cloud capabilities.
• For Device licenses, users activate their connection to cloud capabilities when they are ready. 

Yes. SOLIDWORKS AI is built on a foundational principle of IP protection: your design data is never used to train AI models. SOLIDWORKS AI tools operate on your data within the session, and do not retain or share your geometry, assemblies, or design history beyond the active interaction. Our AI models are exclusively trained on proprietary Dassault Systèmes data and curated synthetic datasets. All cloud-based AI features run on enterprise-grade infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest. Yes — access to SOLIDWORKS AI tools is included with your current SOLIDWORKS Design license at no additional cost. AI features such as Command Predictor, Auto-Fastener Recognition, Generative Drawings, AI-Powered Assembly Structure Generator, and What's Wrong Analysis are available within the SOLIDWORKS Design environment by default. AI Virtual Companions, focused on context and knowledge, require activation of Cloud Services, already included in your subscription. SOLIDWORKS Design is a parametric modeling software that requires an install on a local computer. SOLIDWORKS xDesign is a collection of next-generation, entirely browser-based modeling tools that can be used on any device, anywhere, at any time. Learn more about SOLIDWORKS xDesign

SOLIDWORKS Design with Cloud Services has the same 3D CAD functions, capabilities, and user interface as SOLIDWORKS Design. The only difference between the two is how they are purchased and deployed: SOLIDWORKS Design with Cloud Services uses a term license or perpetual license with subscription services and can be installed on one device. SOLIDWORKS Design uses a single-user license and is deployed from the cloud, allowing it to be installed on any PC. Learn more about licensing options.
