SOLIDWORKS Design Standard for Students is an entry-level package for core 3D CAD modeling, sheet metal, and weldments. SOLIDWORKS Design Premium for Students is a comprehensive package that includes advanced features like linear static simulations, 3D routing (pipes/tubes/cables), advanced surface flattening, as well as our dull desktop suite of products like SOLIDWORKS Simulation, CAM, Electrical, Visualize, Composer and more. Two certifications attempts (CSWA & CSWP) are also included with SOLIDWORKS Design Premium for Students.

Signing up is easy and takes less than 1-minute to complete! You must complete the student sign-up form online by entering your school name and other basic information. You are then presented with the download link, unique serial number to use during installation, and an installation guide.

You receive 1 year of access. If you are still a qualified student at the end of your 1-year access, you may sign up again by completing the same web form. You may be asked to provide proof of student verification.
